That there will be no hotel room availability in Bangalore for the next week and beyond. The very desperation of the travel agent's tone of voice echoed the optimistic sentiment that I wouldn't have to make the trip after all. Don't get me started on how exorbitant the rates are in the city for a decent night's rest and how close to impossible it is to plan a visit there 1-2 weeks in advance and secure a room. It is near impossible. And you wonder why multi-nationals keep investing their capital in a city which takes a prolonged amount of time to address the infrastructural concerns for large businesses to operate efficiently and cost-effectively.
To define wishful thinking, please refer to the earlier paragraph. However, it would be tantamount to striking lottery. I am about as desperate as the travel agent to prove a point.
